Note: GEN: SSAN: 008-07-1385
BURIAL: Buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, Vermont.
BURIAL: Dorothy Ethel (Paquin) Lahue (1904 - 1998) is the seventh person buried in the Paquin Family Plot. The others are: Hannah E. Paquin (1855 - 1937).

Born in Burlinton, Vermont, at The Home for Friendless Women, known now as the Lund Home.
Birth certificate for Dorothy Ethel Smith, born in Burlington, Vermont, on February 19, 1904, lists the mother as Ethel Smith, age 19, and the father as Clarence Mosher, age 23.

Adopted by the Paquins in 1912; in 1913 adoption paperwork corrected. Have adoption letter from legal file of the Orleans County Probate Court, Newport, Vermont.

Dorothy spent her first few years, from 1904 to somewhere around 1912, with Rose E. Talbert in Franklin, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.

Assume at this time that Rose was a Paquin relative and that this was an informal arrangement. Will search for this connection between Rose and the Paquins.
