DEATH: and 11 days.
DEATH: The departed was the eldest son of Daniel E. Aiken, clerk
DEATH: of the Evangelical Second Advent Church of the place. The
DEATH: boy was not one of the strongest built children, often
DEATH: being obliged to stay at home from his day school on
DEATH: account of ill health, yet when enjoying a measure of good

DEATH: countenace. His delight was books, and for a boy of his
DEATH: age he read extensively. The dear child died of scarlet
DEATH: fever after five days illness. At Sunday School as well as
DEATH: at home, he will be missed. He was a regular attendant at
DEATH: Sunday School, and though young in years, yet the
DEATH: instruction of the Sunday School, the reading of good
DEATH: literature and the example at home, led him to manifest a
DEATH: desire for the prayers of God's people. A little before
DEATH: his death, he said smilingly to his sister who came in to
DEATH: see him "Good Bye", thereby expressing no dread of the event
DEATH: before him.
DEATH: The writer being away at the time, and on account of strict
DEATH: orders from the local Board of Health, the deceased had to
DEATH: be buried in Dunkin cemetery at once without proper funeral
DEATH: services. However a "Memorial Service" will be held as
DEATH: soon as the circumstances of the disease which has raged in
DEATH: the neighborhood will allow, when the writer has been
DEATH: requested to speak words of comfort from John 13:7.
